How to make your own Cider Scent?

If you are making your cider scent candles and are not satisfied with getting the scent from the market, then you are at the right place. Here procedure for making your cider scent.

You don’t necessarily have to use the scent in cedar vanilla candles only. This natural, organic, and light fragrance is good enough to be used in other crafts too. So, let’s see what steps are involved in its creation.

 

Steps to make your cider scent:

Put two cups of vegetable oil in the saucepan. Also, put the plant material (3 cups) in it to heat. 

The plant material, in this case, should be the spice mix we will share in the next section for the creation of the right aroma and smell. Once, it will get dry and crunchy. Now is the time to remove it from the flame.

Use a strainer or coffee press to get all the oil out of the plants and herbs.

Now re-measure the oil you have left and add beeswax with a ratio of 4:1 – vegetable oil: beeswax.

The slightly hardened oil will emit the cider scent you have been looking for...

 

What spice mix makes apple cider scent?

The apple cider scent is not only the combination of apple and citrus fruits. It also contains Ginger, galangal, star anise, five-spice, peppercorn, and cardamom as the main spices that make up the apple cider scent.

These ingredients are the same as that of the apple cider recipe. So, if you use any of the other spices in the recipe, you might want to use them in the scent too.

Put all these spices in the plant material that we have highlighted in the above section to give your cider scented oil the right aroma.
