How to get Candle wax out of a Couch?

Have you spilled the candle wax on the couch? Oops, you must be feeling sad. But you no longer have to, because we have a solution to bring your couch to its old position within no time.

All you have to do is follow the steps that we present in this article, and your couch will just be back in the same condition as it was before the spillage. So, let’s not keep you waiting to get your couch back, and let’s start:

Process to get the wax out of your couch:

Here’s the detailed process:

Step 1: If you have spilled the wax on your couch, do not be haphazard and try removing it just then. Let it harden a bit. However, do not leave it too long as it would become difficult to remove without creating any devastating impact on your couch.

Step 2: Use ice to harden the wax. Once it hardens, use a spatula or a pointed knife to take the wax out of your couch. But be very careful in using these tools as they can destroy your sofa in seconds. Make sure that you don’t overdo it.

Step 3: You’ll still find the residue of wax left. To remove these tiny particles, you must put the brown paper bag on the stain.

Step 4: heat the iron and put it over the paper bag pressing it gently. The iron shouldn’t be very hot. The heat from the iron will melt the residues, and the paper bag will absorb it quickly, leaving your sofa just like the new one.

Step 5: You might have to redo step 4 depending on the amount of wax spilled and left on the couch. Once the bag seems full of wax, you can change it and continue the heating step again.

Step 6: In some cases, you might experience discoloration of your couch too. In that case, wet a cloth piece with rubbing alcohol. Dab it on the spot, and the problem will be fixed. An important tip here is to avoid rubbing the surface as it might create further discoloration.

Summing up:

Using these simple steps, you can get the wax out of your couch and make it just like the new one.
