Due to natural variations in the wood, the initial lighting might take a moment longer than with traditional cotton wicks. Be patient and ensure the wick has ignited fully before moving on.

After each burn, wood wick candles often accumulate a layer of burnt wood at the tip of the wick, which can hinder re-lighting. Before you light the candle again, carefully trim the burnt wood off using wick trimmers. Alternatively, you can use your fingers to pinch and remove the burnt tip.
