Frequently Asked Questions About Our 100% Soy Wax Candles

    • Why is the top of my candle sweating? The fragrance oil we put into our 100% soy wax will occasionally separate during extreme temperature changes, typically during shipping. This will not affect the way the candle burns and it shouldn't reappear after the first use.
    • Why is the wax separated/separating from the glass? Before we even melt the wax we clean each jar by hand to avoid this. We also pour our wax at a higher temperature to avoid this but sometimes it's completely unavoidable. The natural soy wax can be more difficult to work with than traditional paraffin wax. The safety trade-off is more valuable to us than a very small aesthetic flaw.
    • Do I need to trim my wood wick? Your wood wick will come trimmed to the perfect height and will continue to maintain its structure after each use. With a traditional cotton wick trimming was necessary after each use to reduce the soot associated with burning. With our FSC-certified wood wick there is never any need to trim.
    • How long should I burn my candle?
      • 4oz. Tin: 10-20 hours; 45 minutes per session.
      • 6oz. Tin: 25-35 hours; 45 minutes per session.
      • 10oz. Jar: 50-60 hours; 3 hours per session.

    • Can I request special/copycat scents? Currently we are not offering custom or copycat scents.
    • I spilled my candle, what can I use to clean up? Our 100% soy wax is water soluble - remove as much of the wax as you can and then try a mixture of soap and water for an easy clean up!
    • Can I use a candle warmer with your candle? Yes! Although our candles were meant to be enjoyed with our amazing wood wicks burning, the fragrance and wax work with any heat source!
